With the automatic shower toilet, VAMAT, from ENABLE SUPPLIES, people with disabilities and physical impairments can toilet peacefully in comfort with dignity and independence.
The operation of the shower toilet VAMAT is simple. The 2minute wash cycle can be started by a touch button on the side of the unit, or for more complex needs, a foot button, remote control or even a motion detector sensor can be installed as additional extra.
The Wash cycle uses warm potable water, heated to 38C to provide a comfortable cleaning experience. The Water Wash can be restarted as many times as is necessary. The temperature will remain constant throughout the wash cycle. This is one of the key advantages of the VAMAT Shower Toilet.
The Spray Arm or Douche Arm washes the pelvic region from front to back to prevent contamination of pelvic area with fecal matter. This feature alone is extremely important when dealing with female health.
Once the Wash Cycle is complete, the Air dryer will come on automatically. Warm air is gently blown from behind the seat, to dry the pelvic area. This cycle can be adjusted from 3 minutes to 10 minutes depending on preferences.
The toilet seat is constructed of pressure relieving PU foam which adds greatly to the comfort experience. However there is a range of options for those who need to customize the VAMAT for their particular circumstance.
The VAMAT excels with a range of anti-decubitus seats i.e. anti pressure sore seats, for those who may suffer with leg ulcers or delicate skin. The seat is constructed from a premium grade memory to provide maximum pressure relief while supporting the body fully.
In addition, for those with mobility issues or balance problems or those who have difficulty getting on/off the toilet the VAMAT can be ordered with an extra high 10cm toilet seat to provide additional height if needed.
The Vamat, has been successfully installed in Changing Places Toilets and other such disabled bathrooms.
The shower toilet unit uses mains feed water only. Thereby eliminating the risk of legionella and other diseases associated with tank feed or stagnant water.
When activated, the shower toilet bidet arm moves into position and washes the pelvic area from front to back with warm clean water. When the washing cycle is complete, the bidet arm retracts back to standby position and the air dryer blows gentle heated air across the skin to dry and complete the toilet experience.
