Helia

Simplicity and versatility for every space.

When it comes to ergonomics, Helia bed is the undisputed star. Helia bed provides several different assistance levels in the mobilisation and protection of the user, according to the dependency degree of each person. From the initial stages, where the priority is having the lowest possible height, to those times when the maximum height for nursing care becomes essential. A simple and versatile choice, it is available in a range of sizes and a variety of headboards and footboards.

This bed delivers solution-oriented support to sustain and enhance personal mobility while meeting the current industry demands. It is particularly suited to Alzheimer’s patients and ideal for easing the nursing staff’s work.

The Helia bed is Pardo’s first nursing care bed eco-designed in compliance with the ISO 14006 standard.

Well-being & Prevention

  • Designed to be used without the need for side rails in the lowest position of 22 cm, Helia is suitable for Alzheimer’s patients as it minimises the risk of injury related to falls.
  • When the user’s physical impairment makes bed assistance a must, this bed can reach a maximum height of 80 cm, which is perfect for avoiding wrong postures of the medical and nursing staff.
  • Bed equipped for cardiopulmonary emergencies at the push of a single button.
  • The combined autoregression of the thorax and thigh sections (14 cm) relieves abdominal and sacral pressure respectively, preventing the formation of pressure ulcers on bedridden users.
  • The lower limb section can be independently adjusted to six positions by means of a manual rastomat system. This function is intended to promote the return blood flow, this position being particularly useful for long-stay users or those with vascular problems.

Ergonomics & Design

  • Available in different sizes in order to meet the needs of the different spaces in each nursing home.
  • The ergonomics of its design allows it to be used either bare, no headboard or footboard, or with both elements, which makes this bed perfectly adaptable to the specific needs of each facility, space and user.
  • Tool-free, easily removable bed base sections, made of impact-resistant, lightweight sanitary ABS.
  • Fully electric articulated bed, equipped with a scissor lift system and three linear actuators (IP66 protection class).
  • Steel frame with antimicrobial paint coating, tested according to ISO 22196:2011, protects the bed against infection.
  • The Helia bed complies with the UNE-EN 60601-2-52:2010 standard.

Day-to-day safety

  • In the absence of a footboard, the bed base is rounded at the bottom so as to avoid bumps when walking around the bed.
  • The bed is prepared for operating user transfer equipment, with a real clearance of 14 cm and regardless of the bed base height.

Control & Usability

  • Small control handset fitted with a function blocking system, intended for both bedridden users and nursing staff.
  • Backlit control handset for ease of use when the room lights are switched off.
  • Four Ø100 mm metal swivel castors, are equipped with individual brakes, allowing full locking and free movement activation of them.
